In the darkest corners of the galaxy, where even the light of distant stars barely touches, the Ymgarl Genestealers lurk, ancient and terrifying. These creatures are the harbingers of something far more sinister than the Tyranid swarms themselves—an evolving nightmare born in the shadowed moons of Ymgarl.

Unlike their kin, the Ymgarl Genestealers are shrouded in myth and fear, whispered about in half-forgotten legends. Their bodies, twisted by the warp-tainted energies of their home, shift and mutate with malevolent intent. They are adaptable beyond reason, their limbs sprouting terrible new forms—whip-like tendrils or grotesque talons—in the blink of an eye, as if the very madness of the void courses through their veins.

No one knows how long they have slumbered, hidden away in the vaults of derelict ships or abandoned ruins, but when they awaken, it is with an insidious hunger. They strike with deadly precision, melting into the shadows as easily as they appear from them. To encounter a Ymgarl Genestealer is to face an enemy that has no form, no true shape—just the promise of inevitable death.

Some say they were the first tendrils of the Hive Mind, a precursor to the great Tyranid invasions, yet they serve no master but their own insidious drive to spread corruption. Where they travel, madness follows, and entire worlds fall into disarray before the greater horrors even arrive. There is no escape from the Ymgarl Genestealers—once they have tasted your scent, the shadows themselves seem to close in around you, and their prey is already lost.
