The Blood-Soaked Legacy of the World Eaters
Origins of the World Eaters
The World Eaters were once a loyal Legion of Space Marines, created by the Emperor to enforce his will across the galaxy. Their legacy changed forever with the discovery of their Primarch, Angron, a brutal and tormented warrior who instilled his unrelenting rage into the Legion. Under Angron’s leadership, they became renowned for their ferocity in close combat, a reputation that would eventually doom them to the path of Chaos.
The Butcher’s Nails and Their Fall to Chaos
The Butcher’s Nails, cybernetic implants that suppressed all emotions except anger, became the defining feature of the World Eaters. Installed into the minds of their warriors, these devices drove them into unending fits of rage, transforming them into berserkers obsessed with bloodshed. Their allegiance to the Emperor was ultimately abandoned as they embraced Khorne, the Chaos God of blood and war, during the Horus Heresy.
Champions of Khorne’s Bloody Path
As servants of Khorne, the World Eaters are driven by a singular purpose: to spill blood and claim skulls for the Skull Throne. They eschew strategy in favor of brutal, relentless assaults, charging into battle with chainaxes and other savage weapons. Their devotion to Khorne fuels their berserk fury, leaving behind fields of destruction and mountains of skulls in their wake.
