Plaguebearers are the loyal foot soldiers of Nurgle, Chaos God of decay and disease, and each is the manifestation of a soul claimed by Nurgle’s plagues. Rotting, shambling, and eternally infected, they march relentlessly in formation, brandishing rusted blades known as Plagueswords. These weapons are infused with contagions so potent that even a minor wound can cause horrific, festering diseases in their victims. Plaguebearers serve not only as infantry but also as the carriers of Nurgle’s blessings, spreading pestilence wherever they tread. Their droning chants echo across the battlefield, counting each plague-ridden soul as part of their tally, all in the dark worship of their pestilent patron.
Nurglings are mischievous, small daemons of Nurgle, each a tiny bundle of infectious joy and decay. Despite their grotesque appearance—bloated bodies, leering grins, and pockmarked skin oozing with filth—these creatures embody a twisted sense of glee. They swarm around larger daemons, particularly their master, the Great Unclean One, acting both as defenders and delightful carriers of disease. Nurglings gleefully hurl themselves into combat, biting and scratching with infectious enthusiasm, spreading Nurgle’s blessings through sheer contact. Despite their diminutive size, they are a persistent threat, infecting enemies with deadly plagues while reveling in the chaos they create, laughing in a childlike manner as they gleefully bring rot and ruin to Nurgle’s foes.
