Some Chaos Space Marines are part of the original Traitor Legions that betrayed the Emperor, like the World Eaters, Thousand Sons, Emperor’s Children, and Death Guard. These legions are each aligned with a specific Chaos God, drawing strength and mutations from their patron in exchange for unwavering devotion. The Death Guard, for instance, is aligned with Nurgle, the Plague God, and bears the “gifts” of pestilence and disease, as seen in the figure above, which resembles a Nurgle-worshiping Chaos warrior.
