Origins and Background
The Lamenters were born from the Second Founding following the Horus Heresy, a time when the Imperium sought to create new Space Marine Chapters to rebuild its shattered strength. As a successor of the Blood Angels, the Lamenters inherited the legacy of their primarch, Sanguinius, along with his noble spirit and unmatched martial prowess. Their gene-seed, however, carried the same curses as their progenitor Chapter—the Black Rage and the Red Thirst.
