Lore of the Avenging Son
Roboute Guilliman, also known as the Avenging Son, is the Primarch of the XIII Legion, the Ultramarines. Crafted by the Emperor of Mankind and scattered across the galaxy, Guilliman landed on the world of Macragge, where he quickly rose to power as a just and visionary ruler. He built a prosperous empire rooted in order, reason, and duty—qualities that would later define the Ultramarines themselves. Guilliman’s strategic brilliance was legendary, and during the Great Crusade, he led countless campaigns to reunite humanity under the banner of the Imperium. During the Horus Heresy, he fought to preserve the Imperium and later helped stabilize it in its aftermath.
