Lucius the Eternal is one of the most disturbing and is one of the most infamous and disturbing champions of the Chaos God Slaanesh in Warhammer 40,000. He was once a proud and talented warrior of the Emperor’s Children, a Space Marine Legion known for their pursuit of perfection. As the Horus Heresy tore the Imperium apart, Lucius gave in to the seductive promises of Slaanesh, the Chaos God of excess and pleasure. His obsession with swordsmanship and being the greatest warrior led him down a dark path. Over time, Lucius transformed from a noble duelist into a twisted killer who lives only for the thrill of battle. Now, he serves Slaanesh as a daemonically enhanced champion, feared across the galaxy.

A Warrior's Curse
What truly makes Lucius terrifying is the unnatural curse placed upon him by Slaanesh. Anyone who defeats him in combat and feels even a moment of pride is doomed to become Lucius. Their body is slowly warped, often in a grotesque and painful way, until Lucius is reborn through their flesh. The victim’s soul is trapped inside his armor, their face added to the mass of screaming faces that writhe across his body. This horrifying ability means Lucius cannot truly die, making him a terrifying legend even among fellow Chaos worshippers. Many refuse to fight him out of fear that victory will cost them their identity.

His Fall from Grace
Lucius was once an honorable warrior, though prideful, during the early days of the Emperor’s Children. He fought with skill and discipline, believing in the code of the sword. But when his brothers began to fall to the temptations of Chaos, Lucius followed, embracing excess and pain as forms of purity.
